PURPOSE:To provide the divider accurately performing the division for positive and negative binary digits and the accompanying omission. CONSTITUTION:The system consist of an OR gate 3 discriminating whether or not the lower four bits of the 8-bit dividend are zero, an AND gate 4 where the highest order bit a '7' of the dividend is inputted and discriminating whether the dividend is negative or not, an incrementor 1 adding '1' to the high-order four bits of the dividend, and a selector 2. When the lower four bits of the dividend are not zero and the dividend is negative, '1' is added to the higher four bits of the dividend, otherwise, the higher four bits of the dividend are outputted as they are. |
