<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of noise when a paper sheet feeding cassette is pulled off by a method wherein a tray is in a lowering state during waiting since a push up member is moved to a position, where it is pulled out from the paper sheet feeding cassette, by means of a push up operating means after completion of formation of an image. CONSTITUTION:A fan-shaped gear 150 is attached on a shaft 131a on which an elevator 106 serving as a push up means for pushing up the tray 133a of a paper sheet feeding cassette. By transmitting the drive force of a tray motor 151 to the gear 150 through a gear group 152 with a built-in spring clutch mechanism 159, the elevator 106 is rotationally displaced against the force of a spring. During formation of an image, a tray 133a is moved to a push up position with the aid of the tray motor 151 and when formation of an image is completed, the tray 133a is driven and controlled so that it is moved to a position where it is pulled out from the paper sheet feeding cassette. An actuating lever 107 is integrally mounted on the elevator 106 and a separation roller 102 is caused to approach and part from a paper feed roller 101 in linkage with the elevator 106.</p> |
