A device for landing an airship or the like, which comprises windlasses (2, 3) fixed to the underside of an airship (1), hawsers (4, 5) unwoundably wound on said windlasses, catchers (6, 7) fixed to tips of said hawsers (4, 5), and lashing ropes (9, 10) horizontally stretched over the landing surface (8) and spaced therefrom. The hawsers (4, 5) suspended from the airship (1) are caught by the lashing ropes (9, 10) and wound up by the windlasses (2, 3), whereby the airship (1) can land by itself as a general rule. The airship is prevented from drifting over a long distance when blown by wind and, thus, can safely land on even a narrow strip (8). |
