The collision detector has a wt. (6) arranged in a housing. A trip lever (11) rotatable in the housing, turns reacting to the wt., so that it protrudes from the housing. A safety mechanism (23) has a stop pin (7), which in an initial position is in contact with the housing, to hold the wt. in the initial position. A swivel lever (17) is located in the housing, which can work in conjunction with the stop pin. A first spring system (21) is arranged between the swivel lever and the housing, so that a pressure is always exerted on the swivel lever, and the swivel lever works in conjunction with the pin. ADVANTAGE - Prevents movement of weight when in disabled mode, e.g. during assembly into vehicle safety system.
