In its lateral surface, a distributor tube 1 has tube slits 10 which are transverse to the direction in which a fluid flows into the distributor tube. A casing tube 7 is enclosed by the distributor tube 1 and is subdivided into flow chambers 4, each of which is bounded by two annular plates 11 and is connected to an inlet sector 14. Situated at the inlet end of the distributor tube is a star-shaped volumetric flow distributor 2 in the form of a tube insert which subdivides the mass flow fed in into subflows for the flow chambers. <IMAGE>
