There are described agents against stomach bot flies in equids containing a cyclopropanecarboxylic acid ester of the formula I <IMAGE> where R1 is halogen or methyl, R2 is -alkyl, -haloalkyl having 1-4 halogen atoms such as fluorine, chlorine or bromine, -alkenyl, -haloalkenyl having 1-4 halogen atoms such as fluorine, chlorine or bromine, phenyl, halophenyl having 1-3 halogen atoms such as fluorine or chlorine, X is oxygen or sulphur and n is 0 or 1, with the proviso that when n is 0, R1 and R2 together with the C atom to which they are bonded denote a cyclic group of the formula II or III <IMAGE> in which the carbon atom designated with a (*) is the carbon atom which is also part of the cyclopropane ring, while .... represents a single or double bond, and where in formula I R denotes a radical of the formula IV, V or VI <IMAGE> in which R4 denotes hydrogen, ethynyl or cyano, R3 denotes allyl, propargyl, benzyl, thienyl, furylmethyl, phenoxy or phenylmercapto, it being possible for these radicals to be optionally substituted by one or two fluorine or chlorine atoms or by alkyl or alkoxy, each of which has 1 to 3 C atoms, or by trifluoromethyl, A denotes oxygen, sulphur or -CH=CH-, R5 denotes a phthalimide, thiophthalimide, di- or tetra- hydrophthalimide or dialkylmaleimide radical, R6 denotes (C1-C3)-alkyl, (C2-C4)-alkenyl, (C2-C4)-alkynyl or benzyl and R7 denotes hydrogen or methyl, in a mixture with a pharmaceutically customary excipient and/or constituent. |
