PURPOSE:To prevent a gap from being generated between a cover and a trim and provide favorable appearance, by a method wherein a bracket projected from a vehicle body panel is provided with a slanted surface for positioning, and a cover is so formed as to have a slanted surface part brought into sliding contact with the slanted surface. CONSTITUTION:When the invention is applied to a fitting construction of a tool- containing cover 3 for a van-type vehicle, a vehicle body inner panel 13 is provided with a projected bracket 20 extended through an interior trim 14. The bracket 20 is provided with a horizontal fitting surface 21 on the tip side, a grommet 17 is fitted to the fitting surface 21, and a slanted surface 22 descending toward the side of the panel 13 is provided at a rear part of the fitting surface 21. On the other hand, the cover 3 is provided with a rib 27 (faced to the slanted surface 22) on the back side of a side end part of the inner panel 13. The rib 27 is constituted of a front-rear pair of flat plate form slant ribs 28, 29 and a reinforcing rib 3 in a grating form, and is pushed downward while sliding on the slanted surface 22 by tightening a screw 9, thereby enabling to bring an end face 4a of the cover 3 into contact with the trim 14. |
