PURPOSE:To provide the monitoring system for light amplification repeater realizing the method for transferring response signals required for monitoring the light amplification repeater in service in the monitoring system of the light amplification repeater using an erbium dope fiber. CONSTITUTION:This system is provided with a pair of light amplification sections 100 amplifying the light of input light signals and outputting the result, a monitoring control section 900 receiving a monitor control signal and outputting a response signal, a pair of first and second light delay sections 400 and 500 delaying one of the two light signals which is obtained by branching the output of the light amplification section more than the other by a prescribed amt. at a light branch section 300, and a pair of light switch sections 600 varying the transmission factor to the output of the light signals inputted from the first and second light delay sections according to the response signal of the output of the monitoring control section. By receiving the response signal output corresponding to the monitoring control signal inputted from one light transmission line and received by the monitoring control section, the phase of the light signal inputted from the other light transmission line is modulated at an optical switch section 600 to be sent to the other light transmission line. |
