PURPOSE:To eliminate the need to save and reload a status in and from a stack with all held bits of a status register and to eliminate the need for a stack dedicated to the saving operation as to a status display circuit which holds status information in an operation state such as interruption in a microprocessor. CONSTITUTION:The status display circuit 21 which holds the status display bits representing the status of a microprocessor, i.e., a distinction between a kernel mode and a user mode and whether an interruption is allowed or not, is equipped with the status register 211 storing a status display bit sequence and a shift register 212 which stores a stack bit sequence containing bits common to at least two bits of the bit sequence. |
