The wheelchair (4) has two steerable front wheels and two rear wheels (3) which can be rotated manually or by two electric motors (1) driving a pair of wheels (2) on either side of an electric circuit box linked to controls within easy reach of the patient's hand. Upper and lower coupling elements (5,6) with lateral guides on either side of the drive (7) can be fitted into slots (8;9) in a holder (24) and rotated about parallel axes. The upper axis has a screw thread for clamping between two nuts. ADVANTAGE - Simplifies coupling of drive to chair.
