TERMINAL SYSTEM BY RECORDING MEDIUM

PURPOSE:To set a terminal equipment at a specific function by storing the data in a recording medium to specify the data item setting data and reading said data out of the recording medium at the side of the terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:A processing program 1 including an instruction word for execution of the prescribed processing is previously stored at the side of a terminal equipment 10 and at the same time the data which specifies the data item setting data is stored in a recording medium like an IC card 13, etc. Then the data processing function of the IC card terminal equipment 10 can be changed by rewriting the contents of a definition table 2. The data on the table 2 are read out as necessary to a system IC card 13 and stored into an EEPROM 124. Thus it is possible to set the equipment 10 at a specific function just by reading only the data item setting data out of the recording medium and changing this data without changing a processing program.
