PURPOSE:To reduce storage area by a method wherein a supporting member is provided to retain a pair of plate glass holding members at a predetermined inclination angle and the plate glass holding members are made foldable to a height lower than the place of folding main supporting members. CONSTITUTION:A pair of glass holding members 4 having a plurality of plate glass securely arranged in a stacked condition therebetween is retained stably by a supporting member 2 provided integrally with the rear side of the plate glass holding members. When the plate glass is stored in a plate glass container, the plate glass holding members 4 are both inclined by the supporting member 2 at a predetermined angle to the container bottom and, by such an inclination angle, the plate glass holding member 4 occupies a vertical plane space smaller than the vertical plane of the container. When the plate glass container is empty, the plate glass holding members 4 and main container supporting members 12a and 12b are folded to make the container lower as a whole. In this way the plate glass container can be reduced in the area required for storage. |
