PURPOSE: To simplify the structure by continuously tracking one specific satellite of a satellite group by the one side channel of a receiver, and sequentially tracking a plurality of satellites except the specific one satellite to the other channel. CONSTITUTION: First receiving channel 24 initially continuously decodes the signal of a specific satellite such as, for example satellite A to rangefind it. During the period, a second receiving channel 25 sequentially rangefinds the signals of other five satellites B to F of a satellite group. The channel 24 decodes the data from the satellite A, and is then switched to a sequencing mode. Simultaneously, the channel 25 is switched to a continuous mode, receives a signal from a satellite B, and decodes it. The channel 24 advances to the satellites A, C, D, E, F during the period, and range finds the five signals. When te data of the satellite B is decoded completely, the channels 24, 25 are again switched to the receiving mode, and then operated in the continuous ad sequential modes, respectively. |
