PURPOSE:To improve the compatibility of the electronic musical instrument so that performance data generated by electronic musical instruments of other kinds such as performance data for automatic performance can be used. CONSTITUTION:A ROM 6 is stored with plural configuration tables for converting the performance data of other kinds and a user's configuration table area is set in a RAM 7. Configuration numbers for selecting those configuration tables are set with a panel switch 1. The configuration numbers are set according to the kinds of instruments where performance data inputted from a MIDI interface 3 and the performance data stored in the RAM 7 are generated. The performance data are converted by using the configuration table selected with the configuration number and a performance is played by a sound source 8 and a sound system 9. |
