MENU DISPLAY SYSTEM FOR FULL COLOR DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE:To simultaneously display an image and a menu even without providing any mask plane for menu display or exclusive display device for displaying the menu. CONSTITUTION:An output value calculation part 14 prepares image data for output corresponding to image data inputted by an image data input part 12 while using a gradation conversion table prepared by a gradation conversion table preparation part 13. A menu preparation part 15 prepares data for menu while using gradation not used for the image data for output. An LUT information preparation part 16 prepares LUT information used for displaying the image data for output and the data for menu, and an LUT setting part 17 sets the LUT information at an LUT in a display part 19. The display part 19 displays the image data for output and the data for menu transferred to the plane by a data transfer part 18 as the image and the menu while using the LUT set by the LUT setting part 17.
