<p>The substances in question are antigens or antibodies. <??>Substances capable of reacting specifically with the substances to be determined are grafted onto microparticles. After a phase of agglutination of the microparticles grafted with the substances to be determined, reading of the result is performed spectrophotometrically by comparing the result with a reference series. <??>According to the invention, the agglutination is performed by subjecting the microparticles to a high-frequency periodic motion having an amplitude of between a few millimetres and a few centimetres. <??>According to the invention, prior to the reading phase, the ultraviolet/visible absorption spectrum of the solution of microparticles is recorded so as to identify the wavelength corresponding to the absorption maximum of the substance or of the colour of the particles. The absorption of the solution of grafted and agglutinated microparticles is then read at this wavelength. </p> |
