PURPOSE:To provide an electrophotographic positive polarity developer having enough triboelectric chargeability and excellent in environmental stability. CONSTITUTION:In a two components developer consisting of a toner containing polyester resin and quaternary ammonium salt and a carrier in which a silicon resin containing carbon black and a silane coupling agent is used as a covering layer, the silane coupling agent is alkoxyl silane coupling agent containing chlorine.
