Compact converter for satellite signal reception - has second output allowing reception of extra satellite frequency band, e.g. from Astra 1C

The signals received are transmitted from the Astra 1A and 1B with vertical and horizontal polarisation. They are converted in two converter branches (7',7") to intermediate frequencies and supplied to a compact converter common output (12) with frequency offset. For the reception of a further satellite frequency band, e.g. programmes transmitted by satellite Astra 1C, the compact converter has a second output (15) coupled to the output of a converter branch (7"). At the latter set signals are available of a given polarisation in the IF plane. For the third satellite transmission in the IF frequency plane, the vertical and horizontal signals are applied via local oscillator frequencies. USE/ADVANTAGE - For satellite programmes receiving geo-stations, with improved selection and facility for using additionally positioned geo-station.
