Pneumatic false twist spinning - has texturising nozzle with offset alignment to output roller pair

Airjet false twist spinning equipment has drafting rollers with an output roller pair. The airjet unit has an air extraction section, of which the nozzle fits snugly into the wedge towards the nip of the output roller pair. The central projection line through the nozzle is approximately at right angles to the line across the centres of the output roller pair, and offset from the nip by a specified distance. Pref. the yarn is carried through the airjet false twist unit where a compressed air supply and a series of angular jets (9) twists the external fibre around a core. The suction through the yarn in the section, rearranges the loose fibre ends to improve the quality of yarn as it passes through the output roller nip of the roller pair. The nozzle is designed to lie close to the surface of the rollers and the drive roller is made larger than the counterpart. ADVANTAGE - The twisting action of the airjet equipment is desinged to ensure that all ends of fibre are firmly held. There is a distinct improvement in quality of the yarn by aligning the nozzle of the air extractor in the offset position.
