PURPOSE:To quickly obtain desired document contents by defining to an undefined conversion candidate at the present time point, when other part than a conversion candidate is touched. CONSTITUTION:The converter is provided with a conversion candidate generating means (a), a defining means (b) for defining a generated conversion candidate as the conversion contents, and a display means (c) for displaying an inputted KANA (Japanese syllabary) character data train, and a generated conversion candidate. Also, this converter is provided with a transparent touch panel (d) provided on a display screen of the display means (c), and a detecting means (e) for detecting a touch position, when the transparent touch panel (d) is touched. Moreover, this converter is provided with an instructing means (f) for instructing to generate the conversion candidate of the next rank of its conversion candidate to the generating means (a), when a touch position detected by the detecting means (e) is on the conversion candidate, and instructing to define an undefined conversion candidate at the present time point as the conversion contents to the defining means (b), when the detected touch position is not on the conversion candidate. In such a way, the desired document contents can be obtained quickly. |
