PURPOSE:To construct a branch tunnel from a lining tunnel. CONSTITUTION:At the time of assembling the segment lining 2 of a lining tunnel A, divided cutter plate pieces 1a, 1b, 1c divided plurally in the longitudinal direction every same width as the segment width are previously integrated in regular succession into the segment lining 2 to form a circular cutter plate 1. Then, at the time of drilling a branch tunnel, a skin plate 9 with a drive unit 10 disposed therein is installed in the lining tunnel A, and the rotary shaft 13 of the drive unit 10 is integrally connected to the back face center of the circular utter plate 1 to assemble a shield excavator C. Reaction is then generated to the segment lining 2 of the lining tunnel A to advance the shield excavator C, and thus the branch tunnel B of the specified length is excavated. |
