<p>The present invention achieves improved playback control when a marker is lost and when re-detecting a marker in content-playback processing for characteristic images such as markers. The present invention detects a characteristic image such as a marker from an image captured by an imaging unit, and plays back the content according to the marker detection. The present invention stops playback of the content when the marker is lost, in other words, when the marker cannot be detected from the captured image, records the content position at which playback was stopped in a memory, and thereafter, upon re-detection of the marker, obtains the content position from the memory, and plays back the content from the obtained content position. The content includes images and sound, and when the marker is lost, only playback of the images stops, and playback of the sound continues, but when the time elapsed since the marker was lost exceeds a pre-set threshold interval, the playback of the sound also stops.</p> |
