The method involves implementing a state estimator of a motor based on a previously established load model of the motor. An evolution over time of an estimated state of the motor is calculated by the state estimator, where the estimated state consists of speed of the motor. An additional motor is connected to a variable speed drive such that the additional motor is started with directive of attaining the estimated state of the motor. The motor is reconnected to the variable speed drive when the state of the additional motor attains the estimated state of the motor. |
