<p>PURPOSE:To facilitate handling of jamming of a sheet at the position of a fixing device. CONSTITUTION:A heat insulating material 39 is provided by covering the pressure roller 37 of the fixing device 25. Then, a fixing device cover 44 is set so that it can be opened to the jam processing position of the sheet around a rotary shaft 43 as a center like a wing by covering the material 39 and an air gap 47 is formed between the material 39. Besides, a device main body cover 10a is pressed to the cover 44 through a heat insulating elastic member 50 by resisting to the opening tendency of the cover 44 and the cover 44 is provided so as to be freely opened and closed by interlocking with the cover 10a. Then, a jammed paper is removed by opening the cover 44 to the jam handling position at the same time that the cover 10a is opened.</p> |
