<p>PURPOSE:To extend the fatigue life of a roller bearing in a refrigerating cycle where organic acid and inorganic acid are generated due to hydrolysis, oxidation or the like. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of fine projections and recesses are formed on the surface of a rolling element for retaining lubricating oil therein. At the same time, friction between and the wear of the rolling element and the cage and race thereof are reduced, thereby evading the occurrence of a micro crack on the rolling element. By eliminating a micro crack as mentioned, a drop in the fatigue strength of a roller material due to hydrogen embrittlement or the like can be evaded and the life of a roller bearing can be extended.</p> |
