PURPOSE:To eliminate the defect such as scatters or blow holes of a molten metal due to the blow-off of inert gas in the case that a portion to be welded is inclined. CONSTITUTION:The welding is executed by irradiating the portion to be welded of a road wheel H with the laser beam B by a welding head 1 from an about orthogonal direction. The generation of metallic plasma 6 is urged by blowing the gaseous helium or gaseous argon from a main gas nozzle 2 from the different direction from the laser beam irradiating direction toward the laser beam irradiating point on the road wheel H. The gas plasma 7 is removed by blowing the large quantity of gaseous nitrogen gas toward the upper stream side than the laser beam irradiating point on the road wheel H among the laser beam B from an auxiary gas nozzle 3. |
