The arrangement is intended to be mounted between the gripping tool and the hoisting cable 20 of the crane and is manoeuvred by electrical impulses from an external current source. An electrohydraulic unit forms the arrangement and is composed of a stationary part and of a part which can be rotated in relation to the latter. The gripping tool is mounted releasably in the rotatable part. The electrohydraulic unit comprises a pump member 64 which can be acted upon by an electric motor. This pump member 64 is able to activate a hydraulic motor 68 belonging to the unit, which hydraulic motor 68 is arranged to act upon the rotatable part, and hydraulic cyliders which are arranged to act on the gripping tool.
