PURPOSE:To obtain a head suitable for mass production by enabling a fine passage to be formed by a small number of processes at a low cost by a method wherein an ink jet head wherein dimensions of a feed opening is finely worked precisely and accurately in a good yield, dispersion in a fly characteristic owing to dispersion in the dimensions of the feed opening is restrained, and the fly characteristic is uniform among nozzles, is provided. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle forming member 11 having a discharge opening for an ink drop, a wall member 16 forming a plurality of pressure chambers 18 interconnected to each nozzle 12, a feed opening forming member 14 having a plurality of feed opening 15 for feeding ink into the pressure chamber 14, and a plurality of pressure generating elements 20 arranged to each pressure chamber 18, are provided. The wall member 16 is a photosensitive resin setting layer, and the feed opening of the feed opening forming member 14 is formed by irradiation with laser beams. |
