PURPOSE:To cool and solidify a melted toner image in a state where it is in tight contact with a heating belt so that an offset phenomenon is prevented and the image is fixed as a glossy image. CONSTITUTION:A pressing member 10 provided with a vent hole by a round bar member or a mesh member is installed on the circumferential part of the heating belt 3, and allowed to slide on the inner peripheral surface of the belt 3 to make the surface of the belt in a stretched state, while a carrying guide plate 20 having a slit-like long hole 21 is provided on the outer peripheral part of the belt 3. Both sides of the transfer material which is nipped and carried by a heating roller 2 and the belt 3 to make toner in a melted state are equally and efficiently cooled by air flow from fans F1 and F2 which passes through the vent hole of the member 10 and the long hole 21 of the plate 20. |
