PURPOSE:To provide a part mounting device at a low cost, where parts can be lessened in mounting tact and an image reflecting member such as a mirror or the like is protected against contamination. CONSTITUTION:A rectangular mirror 19 which reflects the image of a sucked component is arranged between a tray 16 and a board 13 crossing a component transfer route, and a TV camera 11 is so provided as to pick up the image reflected from the mirror 19. The image of a component can be recognized on the component transfer route which crosses the rectangular mirror 19 without deviating from a component transfer route, so that mounting tact can be shortened. Independent of the recognition of a component image, a head 7 sucking a component can be made to move without deviating from a component transfer route, so that a computation process required for the change of a component transfer route can be dispensed with. As a result, controller of low computation capacity can be used in a component mounting device of this design, and consequently the mounting device can be lessened in cost. As components pass over the different parts of the mirror 19 respectively, contaminants are prevented from attaching to the mirror 19 or the mirror is protected against contamination, and in result the mounting device can be enhanced in image recognition reliability. |
