The current supply circuit (2) has a back-up battery (7) which is brought into operation upon interruption of the network voltage, without introducing a voltage variation at the load. The back-up battery (7) is coupled to the circuit output (1) via an externally controlled current path (8) which is conductive when the load (3) is supplied from the network (5) and/or the battery (7) and is blocked when the battery voltage drops below a given value. Pref. the controlled current path (8) uses a bipolar transistor (11) with the battery (7) connected in its collector/emitter path, its base coupled to a voltage divider (13) supplied from the voltage network (5) and the battery (7). @(5pp Dwg.No.1/1)@
