PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the circuit structure of a system. SOLUTION: This active matrix circuit has selective lines in a row, signal wires in a line, active elements arranged at each crossing part of the both, a vertical scanning circuit for outputting the selecting pulse for scanning each selective lines in order so as to select the active element, and a horizontal scanning circuit for outputting the control pulse for controlling each signal line for opening and closing and for inputting or outputting the signal to the selected active element. The vertical scanning circuit has a transferring circuit 22 for transferring the input start pulse VST in order from a head stage to a tail stage in response to the clock signal so as to form the selecting pulse, and a start pulse generating circuit 21 for processing the selecting pulse output from the tail stage and internally forming the start pulse VST and inputting it to the head stage of the transferring circuit 22. The vertical scanning circuit can form the clock signal inside thereof, and can form the start pulse VST to be supplied to the horizontal scanning circuit inside thereof. |
