PURPOSE:To produce a stable rare-earth element-Fe-B magnetic alloy powder having an excellent magnetic characteristic, especially magnetic anisotropy. CONSTITUTION:The raw material is hydrogenated, dehydrigenated, then cooled and crushed to produce a rare-earth element-Fe-B magnetic alloy powder. An angular block obtained by crushing a homogenized ingot and having 0.03-50mm average diameter X with the variance controlled within X+ or -0.5X is used as the raw material, or an angular block obtained by homogenizing the angular block having 0.03-50mm average diameter X with the variance controlled within X+ or -0.5X is used.
