PURPOSE:To provide a new polyaminooligomer having a low melting point (or softening point), excellent in workability and, therefore, suitable as a resin- curing agent for laminate use, desirably used in a solventless system or as a raw material for various kinds of resins such as polymaleimide resin. CONSTITUTION:Polyaminooligomers represented by formula I (P and Q are a halogen, an alkyl, an aryl, OH, an alkyloxy, an aryloxy, SH, an alkylthio or an arylthio. Further, P may be NO3 or a cycloalkyl; X is formula II; (j) is integer of 0-4; (k) is integer of 0-3; (n) shows the average number of repeating units and is 0.5-20), e.g. 2,6-xylidine oligomer. This oligomer is obtained by reacting a compound of formula III [(Y is formula IV or V. Ortho positions of one or both of Y are H), e.g. m-di(alpha-hydroxyisopropyl benzene] with a compound of formula VI [(One or both of ortho and para positions of NH2 are H), e.g. 2,6-xylidine] in the presence of an acid catalyst. |
