PRODUCTION OF CARBON/CARBON COMPOSITE MATERIAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To produce a carbon/carbon composite material having good sliding characteristics by a simple method. CONSTITUTION:This carbon/carbon composite material is produced by subjecting a primary molded body of carbon/carbon composite material once to heat treatment in a nonoxidative atmosphere at 1100-3000 deg.C and then to heat treatment at leas at 1000-3000 deg.C and lower than the temp. of the first heat treatment to make a dense body. The primary molded body has 10-80% fiber volume content, 5-50% matrix volume content, and 20-90% vacancy volume rate.
