PURPOSE:To establish a manufacturing method for nickel electrode of alkaline storage battery such as a nickel-cadmium or nickel-hydrogen storage battery, with which the rate of electrode utilization is enhanced. CONSTITUTION:An active material is formed from nickel hydroxide as main component, to which cobalt power such as carbonile cobalt, or further preferably cobalt oxide, is added, and a porous body is filled with this active material and binder followed by a pressurization process to yield an electrode, which is subjected to immersing in an alkaline solution at a temp. between 70-100 deg.C. |
