TERMINAL STRUCTURE FOR FLEXIBLE SUBSTRATE

PURPOSE:To provide the terminal structure of a flexible board having the capability of ensuring the proper electrical connection of each conductor pattern to a corresponding terminal in a connector, even when a gap between each conductor pattern becomes small. CONSTITUTION:This terminal structure has a flexible board 10 where a plurality of conductor patterns 11 are formed on a resin film 13 and a connector insertion section 15 having approximately the same breadth L2 as the breadth of a connector insertion slit is formed at the predetermined section of the film 13, and a plurality of metal terminals 30 comprising narrow metal sheets. The metal terminals 30 are so placed in parallel on the flexible board 10 that the ends thereof come to be positioned near the end of the connector insertion section 15. In addition, each of the terminals 30 is connected and fixed to a corresponding conductor pattern 11 formed on the board 10. Also, the breadth L2 of the connector insertion section 15 is so kept as not to exceed outer breadth L1 between both outermost metal terminals 30.
