The electric fan continuously/automatically sets a reference rotational speed corresponding to exterior temperatures, and supplies a rhythmical type blowing memorized in an IC program. The electric fan comprises a temperature compensation speed controller connecting a temperature/speed comparation circuit (12) with a two phase bipolar DC motor and a two phase control logic circuit (8); a circuit (22) for setting an overload reference corresponding to a reference speed; an overload detection means checking a signal pulse frequency of a position sensor (5); a device for automatically recovering normal functions in the case of a stop of the fan caused by the overload.
