PURPOSE:To light a fluorescent lamp at a high light emission efficiency by specifying a frequency range of high frequency voltages to be applied to the fluorescent lamp. CONSTITUTION:When there is no loss of a power line 3, a high voltage of more than 100kHz and less than 700kHz is applied from a frequency power supply 1 to a fluorescent lamp 2, and when loss of the power line 3 is included, a high frequency voltage of more than 200kHz and less than 500kHz is applied from the high frequency power supply 1 to the fluorescent lamp 2. Compared with generally used devices being a high frequency voltage of frequencies of 20kHz-100kHz, the fluorescent lamp 2 can be lighted at a higher efficiency. |
