PURPOSE:To form a pit corresponding to the time width of a reference digital signal even when the environment of the information recording layer is changed by dividing the signal level of the reference digital signal into the variable sections with the prescribed time width. CONSTITUTION:A reference digital signal A is outputted by an FF 1 as a signal B synthesized with a clock signal CK. The signal B is divided into eight variable sections by a counter 2. With no correction in the first half part by a switch 9, it becomes a recorded signal C turning the level of the signal B to the low level. With the correction in the first half part by the switch 9, the signal C is corrected by a signal D. The signal C is inputted to a laser 11 through a driver 10, and the laser 11 forms a pit on the recording medium when the signal C is at the high level, forming non-pits at the low level. |
