Principle of colouring spectacle lenses for driving a motor vehicle. The invention relates to a principle for colouring spectacle lenses, particularly a principle intended for increasing the awareness of contrasts and of the colour red, while preventing dazzling and maintaining very clear basic vision for driving motor vehicles during the day, or at night, or in fog or poor visibility conditions. The principle of colouring the lens is the yellow-colour tint or derivatives over the bottom half part of the lens 1 and iridescent violet or derivatives shaded off gradually, from the top down, over the top half part of the lens 2. <IMAGE>
