MOLDED ARTICLES MADE OF MINERAL WOOL

Moulded articles made of mineral wool which are intended as a substrate in horticulture contain a binder which can be cured by heat treatment. In addition nutrients dissolved or dispersed in water are introduced. In order to provide a moulded article made of mineral wool which, without any environmental consequences, can be produced, used and subsequently disposed of after use, it is proposed that as binder only aluminium metaphosphate dispersed in water or monoaluminium phosphate dissolved in water is used.
