The device has a gear change pin (16) carried by a selection rod and sliding along the rod, and selectively engaged in one of the notches by rotating the rod. Each notch is arranged in one of ratio engaging elements (18), and the gear change pin drives the element selected by translation of the pin along the rod in a manner to realize the engagement of ratio. Two fixed stops (14-1, 14-2) limit the movement of the pin with respect to a hood (14) on each side, and elastic deformation clutch linings (26-1, 26-2) realized by an O-ring joint, is arranged between the pin and each stop.
