PURPOSE:To reduce braking time lag between shafts in an air brake system. CONSTITUTION:An air brake system is formed in such a way as to operate a front and a rear relay valves 10, 11 by applying signal pressure to them through a brake valve 3 operated according to the depression quantity of a brake pedal 4 so as to apply air pressure to front and rear brake chambers 7-8' from air tanks 1, 2 through the respective relay valves 10, 11. The respective relay valves of this air brake system are to be the ones operated by either signal pressure or electric signals, with priority given to the electric signal over the signal pressure. The air brake system is further provided with pressure sensors 13, 14 for detecting pressure applied to the respective relay valves 10, 11 so as to output corresponding electric signals, and a control unit 15 for taking in the signals of the respective pressure sensors 13, 14 so as to output corresponding control signals to operate the respective relay valves 10, 11. |
