PRODUCTION OF POLARIZATION MAINTAINING OPTICAL FIBER BASE MATERIAL

摘要

PURPOSE:To produce the polarization maintaining optical fiber base material having good performance even if the optical fiber base material is bent. CONSTITUTION:The bending direction and bending quantity of the optical fiber base material 1 are measured. The positions moved by half DELTAS/2 of the max. value DELTAS of the bending toward this bending direction from the position on both sides orthogonal with the bending direction are determined as the centers of two holes for stress imparting members and these holes 3 are bored.
