PURPOSE:To provide a hydrocarbon composition comprising n-undecane, n- decane, n-dodecane, a linear aliphatic hydrocarbon and a specific fluorinated hydrocarbon, safe on firing, readily handleable and suitable as a detergent for dry cleaning. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition comprises (A) 20-99.4wt.% of n- undecane, (B) 0-80wt.% of n-decane and/or n-dodecane, (C) 90-98wt.% of a 9-13C linear aliphatic hydrocarbon (preferably 9-13C n-paraffin), and (D) 0.5-5wt.% of a fluorinated hydrocarbon compound selected from Freon 113(R), Freon 22(R), sulfur hexafluoride, trifluoroethanol, hexafluoroacetone and perfluorocarbon. When the perfluorocarbon is used as the component D, a nonionic surfactant or a highly polar solvent is preferably simultaneously used, because the perfluorocarbon is substantially not dissolved in n-paraffin. |
