PURPOSE:To provide a functional film composed of a layer of a resin composition containing an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer and an inorganic filler, having excellent stain-resistance and sufficient matte effect and useful for the lamination of a vinyl chloride wallpaper, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective product is composed of a layer of a resin composition produced by compounding (A) 50-99wt.% of an ethylene-vinyl alcohol polymer and (B) 50-1wt.% of an inorganic filler (preferably talc or mica) and has a surface gloss of <=60% on at least one surface. The product is preferably produced by melting and kneading the components A and B with a continuous intensive mixer, drying the obtained resin composition pellets to a water-content of <=0.25, supplying the dried pellets from a nitrogen-substituted hopper to an extruder, melting and extruding at a temperature higher than the melting point of the component A by 30-70 deg.C and cooling e.g. by a cooling ring. The component A preferably has an ethylene content of 25-60mol% and the saponification degree of the vinyl ester component of the component A is preferably >=98mol%. |
