The strainer, of the type employing a porous body, consists of an agglomerate of plastic particles and is characterised in that the said porous body (2) is protected by a reinforcement (3). The reinforcement is typically a metal jacket (3) or other screening provided with orifices (4). The porous body (2) forms the core of a pipe around which a jacket (3) is arranged coaxially, acting as a reinforcement; the said jacket (3) comprises orifices (4) for the entry of water towards the porous body (2) of the strainer (1). The invention applies especially to strainers, but can also be applied to probes or irrigation drains. <IMAGE>
