PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for monitoring scour depth at a riverbed, in order to take preparatory measures in the case where a water level of a river surges due to rainfall and the riverbed is scoured to expose a bridge foundation, which could lead to subsidence of the bridge foundation and collapsing of the bridge.SOLUTION: An environmental monitoring system includes: a line drawing device 100 installed at a monitoring spot above a riverbed 120, for feeding and drawing in a transmission line 104; a fixed pipe 102 installed between the monitoring spot and inside a sandstone layer 122 of the riverbed 120, for housing the transmission line 104 and drawing the transmission line 104 from inside the sandstone layer 122 to the line drawing device 100; a plurality of vibration detectors SD1_1 to SD1_n and SD2_1 to SD2_m that convert detected vibration energy into an electric signal and transmit the electric signal through the transmission line 104; and an analyzing device 106 connected to the line drawing device 100 and the transmission line 104, for receiving the electric signal from the transmission line 104 and performing monitoring.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
