<p>PURPOSE:To simplify the configuration of the device by outputting a coordinate signal corresponding to a specified function with pressure to a coordinate input member and outputting the executing signal of the specified function from a light receiving means when a prescribed optical signal is generated from a light emitting means. CONSTITUTION:A coordinate input device 1 is composed of a main body 2 of the device and a pen unit 3 as an input operating means. The main body 2 of the device is equipped with a display input part 5, which plane view is rectangular, on a housing 4 and arranges light receiving elements 6 at the four corners. The display input part 5 is equipped with the compact and thin display device and a transparent panel member as the coordinate input member. When the panel member is pressed with a pressing terminal 7a of the pen unit 3, the coordinate signal corresponding to the specified function is outputted from the panel member. Next, when the optical signal decided in advance is generated from a light emitting element 10 of the pen unit 3, the light receiving element 6 receives this optical signal. Then, the executing signal of the specified function is outputted corresponding to the input of this optical signal.</p> |
